Other notes:
Buffalo Bayou Partnership will complete the $58 million renovation of Buffalo Bayou Park in Fall 2015. The organization received a catalyst gift of $30 million from the Kinder Foundation – one of the largest green gifts in the country – and raised an additional $23.5 million to add new hike and bike trails, pedestrian bridges, enhancements at Eleanor Tinsley Park, signature Lunar Cycle Lighting, new public art, amenities like kayak/canoe and bike rentals and overall improvements to the landscape as well as new major destinations like The Water Works, Lost Lake/The Dunlavy, Johnny Steele Dog Park and Barbara Fish Daniel Nature Play Area.
